Has anyone sprayed POR-15 with a HP ow volume air-compressor powered sprayer?

Did you have to thin it? What did you use?

And finally, how did it come out?

Thanks,
Chris H.
I remember a thread a LOOOOOONG time ago where Brad mentioned he sprayed POR 15 on some cars a while back. Maybe when he gets back into circulation he can tell you how he did it.....

Yep. I've sprayed it. POR-15 sells a special thinner to use.

It came out okay. Nicer than brushing it.

I have some of their solvent. Havent used it yet, but heres a pic of it. Dilute only up to 5%.

Are you shootin' the insides of my turn buckets? KEWL smoke.gif

Dave...

Does it say what the solvent has in it? I think the difference is that it's a slow eveporating solvent (4-6 hrs) unlike Naptha which is very fast.

Does it have any ingredients listed?

Thanks!

No need to spray the inside of your buckets.. I blackened them up with finger prints!

Its down in my garage, so gimme a minute. You're supposed to use lacquer thinner for clean up, if that helps any confused24.gif

por-15 is critical about moisture. spraying on a humid day might screw it up?

Okay.. so what do I do in hot and humid Florida?

I tried it this weekend, actually, with some Naptha, and it worked alright.

After 2 hours of drying, I topcoated it with some black urethane (bumper paint).

It came out looking good (foglight housings).
