I have a cousin that is familiar with my 914 sickness. He has a 64 bug that he's had for about 12 years that needs some help to get finished, and get it gone. It's not beyond his ability, but needs some help wrapping it up and selling it. It ran 2 years ago when parked, and from what I have seen the car looks like it will start right up if I change out the gas and put a fresh battery on it. He did have the gas tank professionally cleaned and painted and it looks like no crud from what I could see. One hub was locked up but I'll look at it tomorrow.
A nice quick diversion but should have it running and braking correctly this week. Unbelievably, there is no real rust on this thing I could find. The floor pans are solid (possibly replaced???) but it will be a nice rat rod when done.

Nice, looks just like my 66, same color but your paint is much nicer. Have fun with it.

It's a 64, with a rebuilt motor int it 1600 from what I can tell. we will know how much "power " it has soon. Also, converted to 12v.

Have fun with it. Heres my 72, yet its not driven much with the 914's running. But when there not, I'm flying in the bug!

I had an early 62 Karmann Ghia that I loved. I kick myself all the time thinking about why I sold it.
Good luck with this one!

Nice! Bought a '65 just like that in the mid-1990's for $1250. Original owner and original paint, interior, etc. with no rust. Wish I kept that one!

You're going to test my memory on this one, but it looks like a '62. Larger tail lights ('62), but small license plate light. Think the larger plate light came out in '64.
Also, I notice no turn signal lamps on the front fenders.

Yes I've seen some pretty unusual Parts on this car. It did catch my attention that there were no front turn signal lights or at least the warts for them. Looks like they've been incorporated into the headlight unit in the front. Not sure if this is stock for the 64 but there's no evidence of any metal work being done.
