This one looks very nice. Can't tell if it is original paint but looks clean enough that it could be. Good quality pics. Original carpet? Love the Zambezi green! Priced about right if it is completely original.

Hey Steve,

This seler says nothing about it being all original, & it looks to me that it may have a "1" in front of the 47K - impossible to tell without irrefutable records.

But from the underside pix - it sure doesn't look like a pristine 47K mile survivor. Geez - you can even see oil drips hanging from the case in a couple of pix! Lots of belly & mechanical parts rust, etc. - even at the rear calipers which are so rusty that they may be seized or ready to do so - all of which typically don't happen at 47K miles.

Also - IMHO this guy needs to add about 200 points to his touted 28 point inspection - plus get another group to inspect - if all that underside & mechanical crap is being passed over as being good or okay!! dry.gif

This is not your red 73!! sad.gif

Check with George - he may know the car & PO/history of it, especially if it was always a Southeastern 914.

PS - Steve G is near them & can look at it &/or may know the dealer, car, PO, etc. too.

How could there be a 1 in front of the 47 on a 5 digit odometer
Brake calipers get rusty after 45 years. Doesn't mean they are seized.
He says he has detailed records.
Sounds like its worth further inspection.

He’s just pointing out that the car most likely has 147k miles on it.

Car is way overpriced given the condition of the underside. Just about everything facing the ground is either covered in rust or fluids.
It’s located in Florida. Where the rust is makes me think it could be a flood victim.

There is no question in my mind that the miles are not correct, although the car was sitting in some humidity for awhile. Steve G knows the history of this car, so one cannot go wrong purchasing it for some price. The first thing to do before fixing the oil leaks and powder painting the underneath parts is to THROW AWAY that four chrome pipe ansa/monza/manta muffler. Does not do the car justice.
