Thinking for ditching my back pad. Where can I find that "U" bolt thing for the seatbelt at the shoulder?

You really need them to attach to a bar, or at the very least will need significant reinforcement to the sheet metal.

I think you can get the kit from Mittelmotor in Germany.
They do a bunch of 914/6 GT replica parts.

Yes you need to reinforce the farewell with a backer. lots of places sell FIA backers that can be put in place. Also be careful on the angles that they need to be set at so they work properly.

So McMaster-Carr stock some Stainless steel U bolts that work for 2" belts, which are a) reasonably priced and b) look like the Repa style ones (well, from 100 yards away). I used these on my GT-like build (see photo) and am pretty happy with the result. I would second the comments about backing plate / bulkhead reinforcement made above; also welded in is always better.
<Fairly Obvious Disclaimer Section: I should point out that these parts are obviously not intended or recommended for this purpose - and this is very much a safety issue, which you may not (understandably) be comfortable with. Your decision, your risk.>
