I signed up as a donor a month or so back via that link and never received anything in reply. Ibwas assuming I would get the little icon under my name and whatever else accompanies becoming a paid member. Did I do something incorrectly?

Let me double check.

As for the emails, we've been having email troubles with the site for years now and there's no easy fix for that (other than moving the server to a new provider which comes with its own set of problems).
