Trade you one 15x10.

If you are looking for factory Fuchs in 8 x 16 or 9 x 16 they are very pricey. I sold a par of 9s x 16 on EBay 9 months ago for $1,400 and one had a crack in it. The buyer knew that and wanted the pair. They where also chromed and he was going to have to get them refinished and fixed. So yes they are very pricy.
You will find Factory Fuchs in 15 x 8 for a much more reasonable price. You can find a set of 7s and 8s for $1,500 or so. If you have a pair of 16s x7 you can sell or trade for 15X7.

Thanks for the suggestion and I know they are pricy. I'm not looking to lowball anyone just looking for fair market value. I already have a very nice set of 16x6 front and 16x7 rears. My dilemma is that I'm adding AA GT flares to my car and would like to have some 8's for the rear. I don't want to load the wheels with a bunch of spacers. The good thing is that I have a lot of time before the car is done.

Nacho,
We were talking about my 944 8x16s..but they may not fit your needs. Because of the 23.3 mm offset, they may not clear the inner body of a 914.

Maybe someone reading this thread could answer that question. I used them on the front of my 1970 911.

best,
Mitch

I'm confused! I thought 23.3 offset is what 914 works best with? and the addition of the width would be 50/50 to the front & rear of the rim.
MitchRossi

That is what you have to be sure of, and I am not. I'm new to 914s, so asking on the forum is best.

The standard 911 8x16 Fuch (911 361 020 45) has a 10.6mm offset.
The 944 Turbo 8x16 Fuch (951 362 117 00) is 23.3mm offset.

Thus the 911 wheel has a backsize of 112mm while the 944 has a 125mm backsize. So more of the 944 wheel is toward the inner body of the car than the 911 wheel.

A 944 8x16 is the widest OEM wheel than can fit under a stock 911 (69-89) front fender. (given enough camber)

Again, which wheel is correct for the 914, you need to ask on the forum.

Hope this is helpful.

Mitch

I have not only 951 8s but 911 7s and the back space looks to be the same with a ruler. I posted it here before. I have an extra set of 9x 16 and 8 x16 911 numbers that are on my 6 Number 41 now and will be changed out after my 15s x7 and 15x 8s are done from the refinishers. Why not use the 15 Fuchs in 7 and 8 s that you can get for a bit less.

You will need to refinish the wheels most likely with any wheel you buy used for the perfect look. Have you decided not to use Copy Fuchs? It is lot less money as a new wheel with fresh refinishing.

I only use the factory Fuchs and they have been great for me and I have always got more than my buy price on them as they keep going up. Great investments in the last 10 years.

You might consider some Maxilite fuchs. ...decent looking replica for not much money.

I want to stick with 16's as I already have a set and also want original Fuchs. Maybe I'll just run spacers instead confused24.gif Sorry for the crappie picture its the only one I have from the listing I bought them from.

Nacho,
I run 16x8 911's on the rear. Just talked to SoCal Andy today and he runs 16x8 944's on the rear. So both will fit with no problem. Either 16 x8 look perfect on a flaired car.

951 - 8x16’s won’t be cheap. Even though they are off a 944, they are the hot ticket to putting 8’s under the stock 911 front fender. That’s why the 951 - 8’s are pricey but the 7’s are not.

But it’s hard to go wrong with Fuchs. They almost always sell for more than what you paid to purchase.

Number one: No comments about my mother! Do not burn bridges, as you never know whom you way need help from.

Picture of a 951 8inch Fuchs and a 951 7 inch x16 in Fuchs, By the way the 7 inch 911 number is the same as the 951 7 inch part. Look just the same front and back. 951 8 inch looks the same as the 911 or 951 7 inch.
One of the nice things is the staggered look from the front of the 7 and 8. 16inch. I have 8 in 911 16 on the front of number 41 and the rears have 9 inch 911s and they look the same from the front of wheel.

As I said I am changing out to 15 inch 7s and 8s and selling the 16 as they are worth so much. Also I think that 8 of front on a wide body GT car are too much 7 look great and give you the nice staggered look. I will sell my 8 or 9s x 16 but not till my 15In come back from the refinisher, 10 weeks or so and I get them back from PMB Performance that is restoring number 41.Inless Eric gets some rollers for the 6 car.

I have the 951 wheels for my V8 car. All my wheels need refinishing to look great except my 9 x 16. Eric put the tail on my car as a joke. It is just sitting on the trunk. (No jokes)

Hi Bob

Agree there is no place for personal attacks and it was never my intent to do so but I felt that I was being attacked and I'm pretty sensitive when it comes to smoking grass or any type of drug! I don't want to expand to much about that subject but I'm very against it, and for my explosion I sincerely apologize.

I sent you a PN concerning the wheels.

Thanks
Ignacio
