Not sure if RD makes these or not. But got the Stoddard ad and noticed these and thought I would post the link in the event anyone needs them: http://www.stoddard.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=SIC-503-90

I think those are the new RD units, part number PP353L and PP353R. I have a pair here for my kids '73 resto if you want pic's.
Way better quality than the paper thin incorrect POS that was available before the RD unit. I've held both in my hands.

The RD units are bare galvalume and the quality you expect from RD, the other one has a purple primer, holes and indents in the wrong place and the structural strength of a wet noodle.

Those are not our product. Ours will have the four holes for the latch laser cut and a more accurate outer trim resembling an NOS part. Also, ours are more affordable.

Doh.... I was just going by the colour slap.gif

I have Pete's in my hand right now, plus I'll add the vent hole is the correct larger hole that isn't just a cut hole, it's pressed with a lip just like OE.

I installed Pete's on both sides of my car a couple months ago. Highly recommended! smilie_pokal.gif

OK - Sorry everyone. I did not know RD made this part. I was not familiar with the RD part or the Stoddard one. Clearly the RD part is the way to go. Thank you RD for making terrific parts for our cars.

Bottom Line: If you're looking for sheet metal, shop the RD site first. If you can't find what you're looking for, email them and check into it. THEN if all that didn't work, start shopping around.

Thanks for the votes of confidence guys! I do my best to put out quality stuff.

We are just wrapping up the engine tin. We have all five pieces fit to an engine and are tweaking a few things. It should be ready for the new year! I know many people have been waiting for these pieces.

For anyone in the N/E I recommend going to the RD open house/swap meet at the end of September every year. It a real eye opener at how pro the RD shop is, good times, good people, free coffee and donuts and the event is getting better every year.
