I have a set of really nice new Injector Connector Boots ...
Ok ... my question .
How to install?
Can you push the pins out of the connector to then thread through the new boot ?

Yes it is possible, but not easy. Much easier to melt the solder and then re solder the connections. You also know the connections are good when you are done.

Hi,
the connectors are not soldered originally.

You can release the connectors from the plug by inserting a needle (better: special tool) from the front end, small recess under the connector. This will release the little hook that prevents the connector from falling out.

Here is a video showing it at a similar connector from 1:15 on:

Have a very close look at a spade connector: close connector view

Don't solder the connectors... they have to be crimped, not soldered.

But you need not cut them off or replace them, just 'unclick' them from the plug.

Don't forget to bend the little hooks back when reinstalling the connectors into the plug.

Norbert
