I never thought I would ever see a type-4/914 with a nitrous system, however, turns out there is one for sale at this years barrett jackson auction. Does anyone have any info on this car. I am very curious about it.

Lots of VW Type 4 engines out there on the bottle...

I thought with all the heat and potential to harm the motor a VW engine wouldn't be the best bottle feed combination... guess I'm wrong, very cool.

You can get kits down in the 20hp shot or possibly even smaller.
Looking at that over decorated nothing more than bolt-on crap all over the car I would venture to say they've never used it once.

When in doubt, add another rear spoiler. A tad busy. Shinny.

I agree it looks terrible... I am a fan of nitrous however:)

They used great restraint and will power and could have really gone crazy. They passed on the airbags, ski rack, overrider bars, CB radio, mudflaps, luggage rack, motor turned trim plates and gold plated 24 inch rims with spinners and curb feelers...
I hope this car does not have engine bay psycho lighting and ground effects lighting but I don't want to find out...

But it does have "polished valve stem caps" as a deal maker or breaker!

VIN 4742914560 hammer down at $17,600.
So compared to it sister auction car that just sold for $30.8K, there is about $13K to be made.

On the plus side, the new owner can recoup about $20 for all the added on tacky crap that doesn't belong on the car.

The 914 seller is now a member of Royalty, now known as the " Count De Monay" . Buyer: ditch all of that Pep Boys stuff, it will be a good runner

You can stick a bottle in any car you like. Doesn't mean it's a good idea, though.
