Just having a bit of an issue with the rear dust shield.

I think the removable cross brace mounts to the shield with the bow part of the brace facing out?

Second, does the cross brace then fit between the caliper and the suspension arm. Or does the caliper fit against the suspension arm and then the dust shield brace is behind the caliper?

maybe these pics will help...

you have it right....the mount goes between the caliper and trailing arm and the shield attaches to it.

I dumped those a long, long time ago.

Granted, I asked around and got varying opinions, but for an occasional use car, I have never looked back.

Took mine off too on both cars... doesn't rain much in AZ, and in IA I usually only drive it in nice weather.

No issues. Looks cleaner too.
