Full Version: Do I have your permission to start cutting up my donor car?

To be clear - the answer I'm looking for is "yes, no shame in doing that because the front clip has already been replaced, the car has no VIN numbers on it, it hasn't run in at least 10 years, there's no ownership paper trail , and it's six different shades of paint".

I need some metal here and there, but it makes me squeamish to cut into a vintage Porsche no matter the condition...

Check list

Is it:
- A 916
- A 914/6
- A 914/8 (that is with a factory 908 engine)
- A 914 with IMSA or FIA race history

If you answered no to all the above question you have my blessing

Some must die so that others may live on.

Have at it!

Just consider it collateral damage. That way you won't feel bad.

Pour out a cold one and then go for it.
