Worth a look if you haven't seen it. Listed yesterday includes original 2.0 and has a 3.2 EFI installed.

It’ll be interesting to see what it actually sells for (or is bid up to). I’d easily believe the build costs with all the modifications that have been done. However, that doesn’t always translate to selling price. I wish him the best of luck!

That's what antique tags are for
It has a good shaped 916-like front bumper, not often you see that.
Weren't those front end conversions done in Germany back in the day? I swear I've seen one very similar on a 911 before, same side marker light etc.

I actually put in a bid on it. Knowing it would go for more than I could afford. So really a wasted bid but at least I got outbid within 12 hours so I could quite dreaming about it. IF I had ended up with it the slant nose would go away. I would take the front end back to stock. The headlights suck but what really screws with my eyes is the front hood. Not having the headlight buckets in the corners just looks wrong to me. So that would have most likely gone away as well. Having said that I would not have been in any hurry. That is a really well built car that will pull good money. Hell the motor alone is worth the 15k I bid. While I don't love the front end. That is my only criticism. Even that they did a great job on. Just not to my taste's. Well I don't love the interior either but doubt I would change it

Easily the best looking 916 'update' to me
The nose looks a little Mangusta ish to me
Worst eyesore is the chrome wheels
I'd drive it proudly

I recall seeing a 914 that looked very much like this in Louisville, KY around 1987. I don't think that it had the slant, but it definitely had the white monochrome look and the flares. It was the car that made me fall in love with 914s.
I would LOVE to know if this is that car.

Unless the compressor and underdash AC vents were added after the pics were taken,
I don’t see any signs of AC and obviously there is no heat if running headers. I always worry when dealers list cars without much knowledge about the cars.

Antique vehicles, which this certainly qualifies for, don't have to be inspected in VA.
Still need to be roadworthy.

A lot of times, 916 bumpers are used when a car gets hit. That was also a common reason for chalon and other types of body kits. The “slope nose” could have been done due to a hit. Who knows what’s been grafted on that car. We’ve repaired lots of cars that were “professionally done”. Look at Cairo’s car. It’s getting a restoration to fix the “restoration”.

Buy car
Convert front fenders back to M471 with steel
Add GT bumpers in black + GT lids
Add sail vinyl and black top
Swap giant "Fuchs" for 15x7 & 9 Fuchs
Redo interior to GT specs, with cage + top and bottom dash in Perlon
Enjoy as is on street, or slowly backdate mechanicals to go vintage racing
It really wouldn't be that hard to make it look like this…
