I'd never use that paint.
Why'd you paint it that color?

The painting I'm doing is being shot with a Harbor Freight purple HVLP gun. $25.
They work fine if you take them completely apart and clean them thoroughly before use.
They obviously don't last like a SATA, but I just get two and throw it in the trash the moment it starts messing up.
My painter uses a SATA. If you get your car painted here, I promise not to use a Harbor Freight gun on your car.

It was time. I reached the point where the truck was looking too rough to be a good representative for my business.
I spent some time looking for a newer truck, but finally decided put my old friend right.
The painter and I decided to take a break next weekend, so two weeks to go...

Front bumper with oil-based Rustoleum shot out of an HVLP gun.
Dilute with 15% ish acetone so it dries quickly in the sun and you're golden. This is two coats.

I like the Rustoleum high performance paint. Use it on my trailer.
But don't think you will be happy with it after several years- lots of fade.
You might be better off with cheap Tractor enamel from Tractor Supply with a thinner and hardener. John Deere Blitz Black maybe?

And it will totally do it, but I have to respect the limitations of the 6.0. It's the weakest of the bunch in the head gasket class. I have many, many good miles on this work horse by respecting its weaknesses.
I will tell you though, if I decide to put the pedal down, very few small sports cars can beat it to the next light. The power is pretty amazing.
7000# EMPTY and you will have your ass handed to you in a stop light race.

After you fix it up sell it and buy a Chevy.
Yes, loctiting internals is cheap insurance so you do not have to do a timely tear down and do the same job twice. Do it right the first time!

It's a 2006. All the parts are for that range of years. Ford parts are cheaper than Porsche parts. The lights and grill were $200 for everything.
It's getting decals right now.....
