I have installed a front sway bar and I have the rear but no mounts on the car. Is it worth the hassle of welding in new mounts and having to repaint inside the trunk to put it in?

No. Its not worth it.

But then again, I LOVED having a rear SB in my old AX car. I won an AX with it once and I swear, it was because it had a rear sway bar. YRMV

A lot of people claim it isn't necessary on a /6 (conversion) car. I left mine on because it looked so nice
powder coated, plated, and with new bushings. I don't see any reason to unattached it or remove it, my
car handles wonderfully.

YMMV.
