I think the prior owner was, "ahem", fixing the odometer on my 73 2.0 and knocked it out of synch so the numbers don't quite line up (picture hillbilly teeth with numbers painted on them). Anybody know how to correct this?

You have to slide the odometer shaft out of the metal gear on the end of the stack, then rotate each digit into correct position. It can take some fooling around to get all of them lined up correctly.

piece of black electrical tape over the numbers... happy11.gif (sorry, one of those wise-guy answers i couldn't resist)

is there any way i could roll mine back to like 00090?

yep, do the "Ferris Bueller" technique ohmy.gif

It's pretty easy to "roll it back". I set mine to 00000 after the rebuild.

The "easiest" fix is to replace the speedo. Cheap too.

I've got 2-3 speedos...you can get them for like $20-$30 here, or on eBay all day long.

MUCH better to spend a few bucks, than mess with it for 4-5hrs IMHO.
