My '74's steering was far from 914-like, so I got a rebuilt rack from Mark and the gang at 914 Rubber...and turbo tie rods from Elephant Racing. Here's the install video.

One note...when you re-install the rack, it's important that you get the splined shaft lined up properly in the universal joint before you bolt the rack into the auxiliary support.
