I'm trying to attach my front suspension (control arms, cross member) back up, and I can't seem to figure out the size of the 2 (two) bolts that connect the cross member to the steering rack. The PET is not helping me on this one, as it looks like it might be in the steering rack picture, not the suspension picture. But I don't seem to have two bolts that match what I THINK might be the correct size. I'm trying to decide if I misplaced them or if they were the wrong size on my car to begin with...

Geez, nobody? I thought this one would be easy. Re-read the PET. I think it's M10 x 22.

M10 x 1.5 x 35 if you use spacers (22-25 without spacers)

Edit: I measured the thread depth in a rack I had. It measures 28mm deep. 30 mm should be perfect. I have seen the thread depth vary in some racks. Check yours. Screw in a 10 mm bolt and check the depth. Use one as long as possible to have maximum thread engagement. Use an anti seize paste if you use a steel bolt to reduce corrosion.
Or use a stainless steel bolt like this.

The correct size is 10 x 22. A longer bolt may interfere. Use a load bearing flat washer and a lock washer.

Thanks, fellas. I used / found the bolt that's came out of there and I do think they are a hair over 20 mm. I may take your advice Bruce and get those new zinc ones (and use some anti-seize).
