Ok, I can get some 944 mirrors dirt cheap, or I can spend $150 on 911 mirrors. I did a search on the forum and found a bunch of stuff, but the question is:
Can I put 944 mirrors on my 914? I know the base on the 911 mirror is closer. Can I grind the 944 base to fit a 914 door better?
Does anybody have side by side pics of the bases?
Has anybody here put 944 mirrors on their 914? (Can you?)
Am I just a cheap bastard?....(nevermind....skip that one!)

You can make anything work with enough time/money. Do a search for 911 flag mirrors. I think there was one fairly recent.

I have a set of 944 mirrors ready to mount. The bases are 911. The 944 base did not look good.
If you hook up the juice to the mirror motors, gotta use the 944 joystick and L-R switch.

I know that Joe D2 (teknon) plans to install a set of heated 944 mirrors on his '70. How...I do not know.

I've got a set of 928 mirrors, and a set of 911 mirrors. I've got both to work with the controls from a BMW, and from a Volvo. The wiring even matches. Seems to be a standard Euro thing. I could be wrong, I only know what I have.
