I purchased an O2 sensor for my car. This is one of the AEM units using the Bosch LSU 4.9 O2 sensor. This is a much improved one over the previous one. I would like to hear where others have installed sensors before I start cutting into my exhaust. I am running a stock 2.0 with SSI heat exchangers and a stock Banana muffler. In the back of the muffler, there is a flat spot I was considering. A friend suggested this may be a poor spot as that may be a dead zone with minimal flow for the sensor to work properly. He suggested the tail pipe but I am concerned this may have other problems. Ideas?

Try to install within 12" of the head. If installed on a horizontal tube then install between the 10 & 2 o'clock position. beerchug.gif

I asked the same question last year.

Check my post for the pics of where I ended up putting it. Seems to have worked out while the motor was still running dry.gif
