There should be a lip at the base of the rubber boot, and there is a ridge inside the caliper bore. After placing the ring around the base of the boot, than compress the ring, overlapping the edges, push with a blunt tool, into the bore .
Thanks for the reply. I did find a groove on the base of the boot and ridge on the piston. Do you need to retract the piston completely in the caliper housingto find the ridge inside the bore? If so is screwing cw the proper method for retracting the piston?
