On Saturday the local dealer hosted a gathering of air cooled Porsches.
There were three 914s in the showroom along with three or four
backdated 911s. In the workshop were more spectacular cars and
Lamborghinis too.
A couple of very talented local Porsche specialists and the owner of the store who has
the same interest put the deal together.
The most interesting car was a 1972 914 6 (Euro) done up as a factory
GT. It was one of the last 6s manufactured.

You just didn't see that in the past; 914 Porsches of any type being featured in a Lamborghini showroom.

Lamborghini is owned by Audi, which is owned by VW. Which also owns Porsche. But of course you don’t see many VW’s at the Porsche dealer...

Kinda makes you want to haul out the checkbook and buy two of them.

It's kind of a brilliant move on the Lambo dealer's part, inviting air-cooled Porsches for a visit. And cool that they honored the mid-engined 914...

I've driven past that dealer a couple times. The Lambo's are real head turners.

I think the 914's hold their own against everything else around them.
