Hello Finally got my 02 Boxster 6 speed mounted in the 914. Bit the bullet and used the renegade trans mount $$. Found that I had to move the motor back another 1.5 inches. More headaches ect.
Finally in.

Need to measure and order axles. Looks like driver side is 21 inches and passenger side is 21.5 inches.

Should I be concerned about the length difference? An alignment issue?

Also do most run the shift cables through the shift rod hole?

Did some quick research. VW Vanagon auto trans axles are 21.25 in length. Vanagon 5 speed trans axles are 21.5 in length. May be a budget option for you.

Check out Sway-A-Way axles somewhere around 20-20.5 inches. Both are the same length.
