Hello,
I have a wanted advertisement in our parts wanted section for a Triad West Muffler, new or good used for my 1973 914 2.0. I received a direct email response from 'Deka Rider' and he initially wanted $600 but has lowered his price to $450 which I still think is high. Additionally, he wants payment via moneygram. Anyone know him or have had dealings with him?
I'm reluctant to make payment via moneygram but I really want a Triad West Muffler for my 914 2.0.
Thoughts?

Never ever list your email address on a public forum!!!There are bots out there that scan forums 24/7 for exposed email addresses and now you added your email to their list of spammable addresses ...
Also, there is no member here by that name. Scam ...

I'd want to see at least 20+ posts before I buy off a member, even then I search their posts to make sure they are legit.
Paypal only, only time cash is if in person with parts in hand.
I used to do money orders, but now paypal is a no brainer.
I will do etransfer with friends and customers I know, but 98% of the time they are paying me.
Anyone asking for Western union, bitcoin, itune cards, moneygram are all scams.
Kiss your coin goodbye.

All responders: Thanks for the advice. I guess that's what I was thinking anyway. I didn't however know to not use my email and have accordingly removed that information.

Why not phone Triad West direct?
1-360-280-6855
I don't know if the site is up to date but it says the muffler is $320 and headers start at $690
http://www.triadwestperformance.com/Products.htmI do know it recently changed hands, Dave sold it and retired.

I got a reply for my request to buy a 2.0L crank. Same story "moneygram only".
I asked for their 914world member name, and I never heard back.
scam!
