Hi all...
I recently changed the intake manifolds on my carbed 2.3 liter and realized the stud on the right side front is stripped. Is there a repair possibility that doesn't require an engine drop? Any thoughts??

easy enough to drill, retap, and use a step stud or time cert, or helicoil where it sits.

Is it stripped in the head, or are the threads stripped outside? If in the head, I just did this with a helicoil. Not a big deal at all. Just make sure you use some hi-temp loctite to secure it.

Outside the head, you can probably just vice grip the stud, back it out and replace.

Did you have trouble getting the heli coil in with the engine installed?
I'm sure the threads in the head are stripped.
