Are these real? I don't see a fox head. but if I remember correctly I couldn't see the fox head on my fuchs as well.
I know mine are real just because they are super light.
mepstein
Date stamp?
Mark Henry
All I have, I'm thinking mid 70's 020, they are 6x15 flats.

They look to be real to me.. It has the porsche part number.
mepstein
The date stamp should be on the raised inner lip on the back. Hit that area with some brake clean and a brush. Then use a bright light. One of the 5 sections will have it. Early fuchs bring some $. The actual date is important.

They look real to me.
Mark Henry
I doubt if they're early, they're off of a '76-'77
jos.hall
Definitely real. Date code/width will determine desirability and value.
Retroracer
what mepstein said on the date code - go cleaning on the inner rear center pits to find those numbers. If not real they are truly excellent fakes!!

It's real.
Also, the ring type cap makes it a later model
I can't read the part number but flat 6" x 15" and 14" wheels are among the most
"affordable"
mepstein
If they are later the date will be on one of the back of the pedals.
Lots of brake clean will get you there. I’ve done it on many dozens of wheels.
Mark Henry
What are they worth? I'm sure they are mid 70's

Asking price seems reasonable, thinking of picking them up for the lad's project. He has 4 bolt fuchs I could sell to offset the cost.
I also have an extra set of Alfa calipers.

1000-1500 imho

unfortunately I'm finding four flat sizes (15s) are going 1700–2k these days unrestored in decent shape, can be even more with matching dates.
16s a few hundred less
mepstein
If you can get then for $1K or less, you will easily turn a profit.

Two of them have minor dings on the outer edge looks like a minor TIG repair.
Yes, less than $1k, 4 with caps. shades.gif

Delivered, he wants to see my shop and will drop them off in a week or so.
Mark Henry
I got them, they are real 6x15 with caps cheer.gif

Price was really good, about the same as a set of 4 bolts. Not for sale, but I can easily get my money back.
Kid will have his choice of 4 bolt or 5 bolt, once he decides I'll sell the other set.

Yep, not the deal of the century, but still a good deal when deals seem to be harder to find these days.
BTW they are date code 77, so not rare but the last of the 15" fuchs. Over all condition about a 7/10, mostly chips in the paint and two lip divots.
mb911
The refinishing is always a challenge. My 15x7 and 8s I sand blasted and had powdercoated flat black and now gonna wet paint the paddles and lips..

Real one are good investments! If you can not have a stash of cars, a stash of real Fuchs is also good.

That's why I grabbed them, I don't need them, but at the price I couldn't pass them up.

The seller even delivered them, about a a seven hour round trip, luckily he was passing by for work and dropped them off.
