I stripped and relubed one front side yesterday. I'm on the passenger side today and have found something is not right.

The retaining washer has worn on approximately 50% of the outer edge.

Is there a specific reason that this happens. The bearings are unmarked and spin freely and the races are also good.
Could the spindle / hub be bent?

Could be that damage was done a while ago, before the current bearing was installed. Looks more like something was rubbing between the center cap and that wdge

Might be from previous damage since there is no name on the bearing. Previous bearing collapsed in another rotor and they reused the washer?
