This is not 914 related but perhaps someone will know.
I own a 1990 Eagle Talon and the fuel filler hose has cracked and now it leaks.
The problem is this part is a dealer only part and is NLA from Chrysler or Mitsubishi. No FLAPS has anything close that will work.
Junk yards don't have them or they are worse than the one I've already got.
Duct tape isn't even a temporary fix as gas instantly disolves the
glue and makes a big gooey mess.

The hose fits over a 1.7" or 43mm fitting on the tank and filler tube.
It is about 6 inches long total and has a 90 degree bend.
It looks and feels like (but I'm sure isn't) a radiator hose.

I'm sure I can find a 1 5/8" radiator hose with a 90 bend
and get it clamped up but...
I'm wondering if radiator hoses are fuel proof?

Anybody know if radiator hoses are gasoline proof? or where to
get such a fuel filler hose?

Check with a wrecker. Or look for an industrial hose supplier, (used to have one next door here) and ask for fuel rated hose. You are on the right track though, using the wrong rubber would be a bad idea.

Do NOT use radiator hose. It's life will be numbered in weeks, if not days. Get fuel rated hose, as the previous post suggested. The Cap'n

Try a local boat supply store, they sell large diameter fuel filler hose by the foot for boat fuel tanks. They may have the size you need.

Gates blue stripe or green stripe is what you need.
Gates provides a huge selection of gasoline compatable rubber hoses to the marine industrie.
DO NOT use radiator hose.
