Because trying to find 2.0 heads are becoming more rare to fine ..I ran across this ad
Is this worth doing if I already have a set of 1.7 heads to modify ??
What do you experts think ... Take a look and let me know ... Thanks !!

A pair of 1.7 914 heads, "Q" castings built by Brother's Machine in Ontario CA. Cross posted to Pelican classifieds in link below, but a few details here:

56cc combustion chambers

Opened to 1.8/2.0 bore (94/96mm bore)

12 mm Plugs relocated to 2.0 location

Chambers welded up & reground with unshrouded plugs and generous quench area

Dual springs

Heavy exhaust port modifications

These were built to move some air.

Why? you can buy new 914 2.0 core repops, build a set from there.

Link doesn't work for me, just goes to the forums page.

Hi Mark,

Where to buy them (2.0 heads) and how much to get them good for a 1.7 to?
Who does the work on the heads? I have a 1.7 in my garage find. Just thinking

Here are the ones that Len just did a small group buy with. they don't have much of a track record, but you don't have to do all the mods that the 1.7L AMC castings need to make into a 2.0L head.
