I was hoping they might actually give us a gt this time. Still glad to see the respect... one of my favorite choices on Forza 7.

The 6 has been in the Forza franchise since Motorsport 3 I believe.

Pretty good performance sim for a console. I wish the GT franchisee picked up the P cars.

I also wish we had a decent PC sim... Project Cars would be amazing....

One of my future projects is going to be building a racing sim chair for my office.

Id really like to get a VR headset too... And a nice wheel/pedal setup better than my antiquated Momo force feedback...

But I'd rather spend the 5k for that kind of setup on the car smile.gif

You could get it in Forza Horizon 3, but only through the auction I think - and they tended to be expensive.

Strangely enough my kids and I like Grid 2. They are too little for realistic sims.

I've been pushing for a GT variant in the Forza universe for years now. There's currently four or so levels of accuracy among the Forza car list.

D: Some are very rough, barely acceptable, these should all be phased out now that everything is also offered in 4k. But some of these were still in the mix even in FH3.

C: These are pretty decent with a fair amount of detail. Some things aren't quite right still though. Likely created the old fashioned way with a modeler and a pile of reference photos. This is where the 914-6 falls.

B: These are very good, built using scans and good modelers. Anything new to Forza from about FM5 onward fits in this category

A: These use manufacturer data for surfaces and details. Very Very good, but generally limited to NEW new cars, i.e. the 991 GT2RS "hero" car in FM7.

I should clarify, I wish we had a decent PC sim that had Porsche cars. If Project Cars had it it would be amazing smile.gif

I see no 914 or 944 turbo on that list. So therefore its null smile.gif

(Also I havent been sim racing in a year and a half so I was unaware of this.. Gonna have to download that now..)

But the 924 Carrera GTP! Such a wonderful vehicle.

Also, the '73 911 RSR has many of the best liveries, and it sounds great.
Snagged this screen grab right at an upshift to catch the flames.

back on topic!

I was excited for the 914 in FH3 and FM7, but the rear valence kills the looks of these cars IMO. That paired with some buggy issue that had the headlights up all the time (which aren't modeled properly) kinda ruined the experience in-game for me.

Grid is FUN! Quite a great drift mechanic. I never liked the drift mechanics on grid 2. Like Asseta Corsa I could never get it setup right with my wheel setup. The racing aspect is arcadeish which can be fun. smile.gif

The interior is good and thats all I ever need smile.gif I never drive in 3rd person view so the appearance of the car doesnt mean anything to me. Im more concerned about the mechanics.

I feel left out, I have no driving games at all... we only have an old Wii with an exercise game and a Disney Mickey Mouse game sad.gif

If you have a PC you can download Live For Speed and get yourself a $100 wheel setup. Instant fun, and Live for speed has low graphic requirements but a great sim driver.

If your up for spending money on a game and have a gaming PC then Project Cars is
a solid choice.
