I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to finish off my heater control. I have gone with a painted dash, and without the normal basketweave type panel, there is a small gap between the chrome trim surrounding the heater control and the dash face. Any ideas or suggestions as to what I could do to clean this up. Click to view attachmentClick to view attachment

Adjust mounting to raise unit so gap is at the bottom where it won't be seen?
Have a thin chrome plate made to cover the gap?
Make the hole smaller somehow - some paintable shape able 'goo' the will set?
Insert body 'piping' around slot perimeter then install control box?

Fill the space behind the unit with a laser cut plastic frame like this one (sorry for the blurry picture):

Black plexiglass 1/8" thick. I made this for my custom AC controller but found I needed a thicker one. I can send it to you if you think it might solve your problem. PM me if interested.
