Offering up my 73 2.0L 914. 56XXX mile with fresh motor, transmission, tires and most rubber seals. This is a full appearance group car: factory sway bars, Fuchs, chrome bumpers, center console with gauges, tinted glass. Has all the correct detail items that are hard to find and $$ to correct. New center caps, lug nut covers, white head lamp surrounds, new factory body rubber, tool kit, original spare wheel, owner’s manual with cover. Previous-previous owner states he did a five year restoration of the car sanding down to bare metal and repainting in Guards Red. It retains the original injection system and starts and runs as it should. All suspension bushings refreshed. Stainless steel heat exchanger/header system. Previous owner replaced Bursch exhaust with an original 73 muffler. Please note the fuel tank expansion tank was removed by the previous owner but is included in the sale. I purchased the car a year ago to add to my Porsche 911 collection and added new tires, new sale panel vinyl and a professional polish job. The purchase triggered the acquisition of a couple of high-performance projects that are driving the sale of the "no excuses car" to free up storage space. But that is always what we do, right? I did not get invoices for work done from previous sellers, but I can send a detailed narrative from the two previous owners. Please see my complete photo bucket gallery at:

That's a beauty.

Beautiful car but the lug nut covers are not correct for a 1973 car. They first were used on the 1974 models.

Jeff, are you sure about the lug covers? Our very stock 73 2.0 has the silver covers and they look orginal and the lugs have the green paint blotch.
JeffBowlsby
Hi Jett, there are no silver lug bolt covers. Only black plastic and they were introduced on the 1974 cars.

So on my 73 the lug nuts should just have the green paint blotch and no covers?
JeffBowlsby
Uh huh. Per the recall. George H had posted recently that he runs the covers regularly on his 73, then pulls them off when he need to for concours events. they do trap water under there and can cause rust on the lugbolts.

Thank you sir, good information.
