I was just browsing google and I cam across this German website... perhaps you have seen it already, but it's new to me. Many pics of that awesome factory 914/8. I just love the styling details.

Yep, seen it. They had to push the car around for these shots as the factory wouldn't let them drive it I heard.

this is the homepage from Dave Fagan - he owns 914.0.43.0059 (the very first 914 in England)

I like the clean look of the front bumper.
It would be nice to see the car up it close.

What are the white canisters in the front trunk?
Also looks longer than a normal 914... is it?

IIRC the white canisters are a plumbed in fire system. Shame there are no shots of the 908 motor.

they did so many things great on that car:
the bumpers are cleaned up, the light flares, the tach is ultra-cool, 907 style multi gauge, the exterior mirror... it's just a great look!
why the cheap looking labels on the center console though?

Maybe they were only supposed to be temporary, but never got removed

The only couple of 914-8's that were built were from prototype 914's, not productions ones I thought? Look at the lower part of the windshiled, the cowel/fender line, door handles ect. All scream prototype 914 to me.
Cool web site, thanks for sharing, I hadn't seen this one before.

They need to crank those torsion bars down and get that thing level.

The traditional door locks sticking up on each door at the top is something I never noticed before either. I wonder if the car even runs.

Do you think the tach is stuck on 2K or is it running when they took this shot? Inquiring minds want to know...
Way cool car

well, it's a little late but there's a good chance to see Dave's /6 this weekend
there's the big european Porsche 914 meeting in Essen, Germany
Dave told me that he will join it with his super nice signal orange 914-6 (9140430059)
he asked me if I would come too, but unfortunately it's an 8 hour trip (only one direction) for me and I don't have the time ...
but I'm pretty sure that this will be a nice event with lots of teeners joining
here's the event info (english)
