Is the SEMA open to the general public ?
No. You have to be in the auto industry as a business owner or employee, and jump thru hoops to get a badge.

true, and be sure to lock this down first. Have a place to stay. $100 rooms become $600 rooms that weekend. 
I will be there again. There is a small possibility that I will have a car there too
I'm registered and have a place to stay... it'll be my first time and I'm looking forward to it.
