Might be a great car for the right price?
Lots of issues, but if you can get it low enough....they're all solvable.

Wait a week to see what it finally brings. Looks like a nice example with tasteful modifications.

so what is the prediction as to sales price?

Nice car, probably going to get get a "reserve not met" ending...at around 48K

Great looking color. It is ready for a repaint and there are some rust issues from the pics.

Couple of guys had a bidding war for this 914-6.

Car sold for $59k....I think the reserve was only $42k, which seemed fair considering the car needed a full paint job and had a lot of iffy looking stuff underneath the car.

Some of the pics like #92 and 96 were particularly troubling to me.
Might put $30-40k into this car with just metalwork, bodywork and paint.
Does that make it a $100k car at that time?
So many other systems and areas need attention as well.

I don't think it was a screaming deal, but these aren't going down in value.

It seemed like a pretty good car to me.

I really like BAT. I think it is a pretty accurate reflection of real market values and it is pretty transparent.

I think this particular car was “well sold” as they like to say.

Nice car, new clutch needed right out of the box.

I was expecting a bit higher hammer price...

Customer of mine in 2017, from Maryland. Floating Oil Rig captain, nice guy.
The worst rust issue was taken care of - passenger long around the jackpost.
He was going to bring it back for additional service this year but relocated to TX, and then decided to sell it so he could buy an early 911.
The hell hole and the center of the firewall near the fuel lines both needed a bit of work but weren't serious.
It went for a fair price considering the current market.

door gap doesn't look as good as in Chris's pic..??
ChrisFoley
Its just the angle of the picture. The owner asked me to look at it because he thought the gap was tight, but we found nothing amiss to explain it.
One thing I discovered though, many 914-6 have the same noticeable mismatch between door and fender length/shape on the right side only. The bottom of the door is lower than the fender, and above the door handle the fender has a different curvature.
