Hi All,

My car does not have 914 gauges and I'd like to get some for it. It's a 1970 1.7l 914.

My question is, are all the 914 4 cyl gauges the same throughout the years or are the period correct gauges for a 1970?

Thanks and hope everyone had a good thanksgiving!

Nope several variations.

You will be looking for if you want correct.

120 MPH speed with silver DOT
Tach with Silver DOT for a 4 cylinder with a single light for the turn signals. My favorite as it assumed I was intelligent enough to figure out which way I was turning.

A combo gauge with fuel, and a brake warning light. It will also have a silver dot in the center.

If you do not want or need period correct the skies the limit.

If I am wrong on some of the details someone will jump in and correct me.

If the odd does not work, it can be fixed also. Speedo gears makes one close you have to reduce its thickness to make work.

Everything else should be a pretty straight forward change. Tachs can be fixed Timothy has a nice write up on it.
