Alright so today I called both auto atlanta and GPR who list the gasket as NLA. No big suprise to me, but It was intersting talking to both companies for the first time. Auto atlanta was actually pretty helpful, I got George HIMSELF

to answer a question for me. He claims that the 1.8 throttle body gasket will fit if coaxed into the 1.7 space. Great

. So I go to order it, but they have a $25.00 minimum order

. Scratch that, I'll order some where else thank you very much. Anyway I've got a 1.8 gasket in the garage ironically that I got from camp, so I'll try that. We'll see how this goes.
In the mean time, as a fail safe, does anyone have any experience actually making the gasket? I've been told by gary emory, and a couple of the california shops that this is the real way to go, but no instructions on how to do it

. Any advice?
Eric
