OK, asking for a friend.

He is building a 1911 on a set of 1.8 cases with 1.8 heads. 96mm cylinders, and 40mm carbs, (don't know what brand)

Heads are stock, no port work and will probably just get a valve job. Exhaust is a header with a supertrapp muffler. Mallory ign.

He is looking for a hotter cam. I am thinking Webcam 86a

What are your suggestions?

Mostly street with occasional AX.

I would think a 494 or an 86 would suit that motor better. My high compression 2056 with an 86a and 2L heads. etc... doesn't really come on until about 3K rpm. If it was mostly autocross with a little street I'd do the 86a.
