Full Version: motor trend import car of the year going to Porsche museum

dr914@autoatlanta.com
We are happy to announce that the Porsche museum here in Atlanta will be displaying one of our 914s along with their usual fare of 911s and 356 models. This one happens to be the original motor trend car of the year given away in a raffle at the New York auto show after them testing and writing their article. This was the very first import car of the year award and says a lot for our 914s as they deemed it fit to award the car over all others

So glad you keep these gems, and you keep involved with Porsche so you can show them off!
When was that picture taken? 1980?
Looking young and suave...

Did the appearance group offerred in 73 come with chrome rims and the caps?

Nothing special about the certificate of authenticity, but we know the car is special keeping track of it from the time it was given away at the New York Auto Show. Certainly a 914 with a storyClick to view attachment Click to view attachment
