Based on my own conversations with a well known brake expert, and a couple very knowledgeable 914-6 guys; I'd say the buyer got a killer deal.
I'd expect a pro quality (like say, PMB

I got my first two sets of 308 calipers for $250 until the Ferrari guys caught on.
308s where cheap before they found out 914 guys wanted them. And one of the few parts I wish I never sold.
