If there any Locals that would like to Lead or Sweep for our WCR drives please let me know. We may run in several smaller groups of 12-16 so there is room for everyone to participate.

We can even organize a few scouting runs. Thanks in advance!

I can do either. Friday is wide open I have the day off. I can take the 987......Lapis Blue of course.

It would be insane not break into smaller groups with "non 914's" in the final group to assist the broken down 914's.

More than happy to be a sweep, (Im drive chair for my local PCA group) But I'll need a passenger since I am not familiar with the roads. I have a couple radios somewhere as well.

@914_teener Thank you, You're confirmed as a sweep starting on Friday Morning. I will follow up with you as we get closer!

@Andyrew Great, I'll take you up on the offer. The routes are pretty easy except for Saturday. I have a plan for two leads on Saturday with one staying at the fork in the road to direct the cars and then follow-in behind the sweep so no one gets lost.

@SocalAndy has got to manually generate each one and this takes time. He has also got a real job, not a fake job as a lifeguard at a Car Wash!

Just make sure you have printed directions for each run, including printed maps.

Someone *will* get lost trying to follow the herd (I'm looking at you, traffic lights) and it *will* happen in an area without cell coverage.

Don't forget simple detailed drive directions. Not page after page from google maps. If not, one falls behind the pack, and you're driving solo as a stranger in a strange land. A 'sweeper' is crucial. If you're in a loaned car the thought of stacking it up puts you behind the pack.

Wow! very creative.

Heading out next Sunday to scout some alternate routes just in case. One thought is the 60 mile round trip up San Gabriel Canyon to the Lookout & back.

No chance of the last 4.4 miles up to ACH re-opening any time soon as its been closed since 1978!

It looks like I should be able to make it on both Friday and Saturday. looking forward to seeing a few friends!

Dang this is in my backyard, too bad the 914 still doesn't run. Might join ya guys in my 87' Toyota FX16. Haven't been around the 914 crowd in a while.

No need, there is an easy detour off CA2 to Angeles Forest Highway to Upper Big Tujunga back to CA 2. We are good either way.

Yep....you are correct. Didn't have the filter check on Caltrans.

We will have route maps and a driver's meeting before we head out so everyone will be informed. Also intend to have event schedules out after the weekend.
