Saw this today by my wife's office in the pouring rain.

What is it? My quess is a 993 Turbo Cab.

It has rear torsion bar tubes.....not a 993.

Or what was it! Likely a lot of body kit work on an older 911.
914_teener
That is what I was thinking.

The splitter is a double for the late 993 S version when I looked it up.

Certainly not a 930.

It was in Rancho Cucamonga.

......aftermarket?

Fenders do not appear to be wide enough to be a "turbo"...and non were convertibles [from the factory].
914_teener
According to wiki....993 they built only 14 convertables for a small 64k premium.

Here is the same front splitter from that page. I think a custom build.

that's what I'm thinking. 993 turbo would have colored calipers, sit lower, and have a different roof line.
914_teener
Maybe it's a Chalon Kit for a 993?

Porsche actually did produce some 993 Turbo Cabriolets...which went out the backdoor, to WW's displeasure.

But none had torsion bars... shades.gif

Wipers are spaced apart. It’s a early cab conversion.

Good call, I noticed that, also the rear of the front fender wheel opening is not correct. I'd say it is 84-89 vintage

Not a 993. Tarted as a 911, likely as a targa, then converted to a cab (see how bad the cab top fits), then added the 993 body kit. My guess is that it was a "worthless" 1975-77 Copper colored midyear as the base car wink.gif

The irony here is that it would probably be worth a lot more (now) if they would have just left it alone.
Also no doubt it would have looked better as well, and I don't even like Targa's.
But that thing is an abomination.
