Also good to know that Original radio, chrome bumpers, Hella Fog Lights and Rear Defroster add $4,700 to 914 values. I guess we all need to notify our insurers!

The car is a nice example. Some areas needed some minor attention, but overall, a great car. I would love to see him sell for close to ask.... that reminds me, time to up my Haggerty insurance value. beerchug.gif

I think cars are a good investment now.....or have been...or have always been, or I know how to make $30,000,000 but I need $30,000,000 to do it. Payback in maybe $3-5 years......happy to discuss...thank you....

No joke, the valuations have been increasing several times a year since 2017. Reminder to check again after the Amelia auctions.

I agree. A very nice car, but quite pricey.

If you are looking for a 914-6, you will find some offers in Europe which contain asking prices above 100 k EUR.
Where is the catch? There are no buyers willing to pay these prices for a normal "6". Neither for a matching numbers car nor for a tuned one. Nearly all of those 100+ k EUR cars are offered for quite a while (some since years).

It's different if you offer a GT or a car with a special race history (e.g. Max Moritz).

However, it remains exciting to see if this high price is achievable in the US.

Definitely an 'impressive' asking price and I'm skeptical it will sell for really close, but I can totally relate to what it costs to have a higher-end shop outsource major jobs like engines and body/paint... Geez even just wheels & tires like on my car now are ~$4000/set... the $hit adds up fast.

There's at least one real 914-6GT for sale right now for LESS than this car. I too would focus on something even more rare and with some historical provenance, if I were looking to invest this kind of dough in another old car (LOL which I most definitely am not at this point.)

Good intel/take from across the pond.

I know a couple of "normal 914-6" cars have sold here for 130 US, one privately and one at an RM auction last year (so premium may push it over 130).

Price here seems optimistic, nearing similarly restored 1967 911S money (2-3 very attractive Slate Gray cars are in the 200~ range), unless you're getting the stock engine and the 2.5?

I've been to Mark's shop and I have seen the kind of work he puts into his 911S builds. Meticulous to a fault.

I assure you that this car was done right and the hot mill lurking right behind the firewall is most assuredly an ass kicker.

He might actually get this kind of money for it, it's a beautiful car.

Interior color change. That's at least 150,000 off (even though I like it better with black)... :evil grin:

Seriously, I remember when this car was in European Car (?). It has to be one of the top examples...

The Willow Green 6 does have its complete original tan interior. AMHIK
The incorrect black interior was removed about 15 years ago and the original tan interior that was properly stored for decades was reinstalled.

Ahhh. So it went tan > black > tan? Interesting...

Crazy. Such a good exterior color. The car that sold at RM is no competitor to this car, but I have to say I dug it nonetheless.

If I was ordering one new from the wayback machine, or building one from scratch, Willow would be on the list. Underrated, though I am not sure I could resist Irish.
