Catest is a software to analyze performance of cars:
http://www.cartestsoftware.com/cartest4.5/

Software Download: http://www.cartestsoftware.com/cartest4.5/...ads/cartest.exe

Sotware calculates performance of a car based on the specs you enter.
I'm using the following specs for a 914 (had to create it since it did not have in it's db): See picture below.

I'm wondering if anyone has used this (or wants) to use this and to get feedback on my specs I entered for 914 chasis...I kind of copied them from a miata don't think they are very accurate....maybe someone more knowledgeable can tell me what specs to use. BTW, can someone post engine information for 1.7, 1.8, 2.0 and any others you want and transmission information for 914 transmission?

Kind of fun to play around with when bored at work sitting infront of type.gif, not to be taken too seriously as these are just calculations.

Yup lots of fun...

numbers are a little low for my thoughts on a v8...

350hp 400tq v8 with 2400lbs will run 12.7's at 118.2mph...

mine will run 13.3's... lol

eh, oh well.

Where are the fields for "nurse 1st gear" and "slow 1-2 shift due to drivetrain flex and worn out synchro". laugh.gif

Actually, if you poke around the app you will find that it allows you to specify the time it takes to shift. biggrin.gif
