Full Version: Source for M14 Fuji Nuts

Having trouble sourcing M14 Fuji nuts (suspension rear trailing arm mount nuts). Belmetrics does not have them that big, but does have conical nuts in the correct size.

My understanding is Fuji nuts can be reused, so should I just re-plate mine? Does anyone know of a plater in North San Diego that does yellow zinc?

Has anyone used the conicals? Can conicals be reused?

914rubber sells a kit. They might have just the nut available. Did you try all the big fastener companies.

Conicals should not be re-used. High strength nylock is also a possibility.

They're known as double slotted lock nuts or joining lock nuts. Most aerospace fastener suppliers can get them
ClayPerrine
Just use some Locktite on the original nut.

Valy
Nylock works there if you don't find the slotted ones.
The nut is NOT reusable AFAIK.
Chi-town
They are reusable. Proper torque is required to draw the lock together.

I'm looking for these too as I just discovered that two of my locking nuts had been replaced with standard hex. Got real close with these under "Turret Nuts" at Fastenal but the thread pitch is wrong. The PET specs these nuts as M14x1.5 so be aware of that when buying nuts.

Found another source in the UK but same deal - 2.0 pitch only.

I think I'll just order conical lock flange nuts from Belmetric.

What is the correct pitch? I read 1.5, 1.75, and 2.0 in the posts.

When I made my trailing arm weld fixture, I remember using some lug nuts, but don't recall the pitch.

Thanks,
Andys

The parts catalog says 1.5 pitch and I just checked my 914Rubber pivot rod and that's what it is.

Here's a nylon insert for $0.80 each with a 1.5 pitch...

I didn't click through, but the image you posted says "14mm hex", meaning 14mm wrench size. The part number contains "M10" which is the size of the shaft the nut threads onto. That is not M14...
