Out with the old, in with the new!

Yanking the original GA 2.0L for a 911 SC 3.0 swap. This is the original 2.0 engine to the car (I believe, as the engine number would suggest). I bought the car a few years ago and it already had the weber carbs on it so I do not have the stock injection parts. It runs well once its warmed up a bit but occasionally under light throttle it would spit and pop when cold... nothing crazy but I assume it could use some dialing in.

I literally just drove it yesterday out to blow the cobwebs off the car and grab some dinner out at the Valley Inn. I didn't get a chance to do a leak down or compression before pulling it today but I have provided a few video links to it running and driving as well as cold start.

I'm keeping the trans and starter for the -6 swap so they will not go with the sale but the exhaust and muffler (brands unknown) will go with the engine as well as the existing clutch/flywheel/pp assembly and front engine mount. Someone please come grab this from my garage in Baltimore. Sorry, no shipping.

It's the early style mount my 72 has it.

It’s really easy to ship an engine. You set it on a pallet. There’s always some company that will give you one for free. Buy some nylon tie down straps from flaps or walmart for $10 and strap the engine to the pallet. Roll some clear plastic around the engine. Done. Tell the buyer to call freightquote.com The buyer handles the shipping. Freightquote will quote the buyer and take care of all the arrangements. They will send you a BOL - Bill of lading. Print 3 copies and give them to the driver when he picks up the engine. Take a pic of the engine on the ground and another as it gets loaded in the truck. All done.

An engine weighs about 250. Add 25 for the pallet. Close enough.

Fair enough but I dont have a place to store it on a pallet in my garade as theyre usually larger than the engine. Right now I have it tucked back under the car and I can roll it out when I pull my daily out of the spot behind it (no street parking where I live) so after I break the trans off it, I can put it on a small dolly and roll it under a desk in the corner where I had the last 2.0L lump stored, and put the exhaust on top on a moving blanket.

I will however consider it! I've palleted a number of things to ship, just dont have much room to store the footprint of a pallet. I could also potentially build a custom smaller pallet or box it and use it as a coffee table until it ships...

I have it marked down to $2,475 on FB Marketplace. Someone gimme $2k cash and pick it up so I don't have to pallet this thing. for $100 extra I'll toss in the original assembled 2.0 front struts w/ drilled 5-lug hubs, rotors and BMW 320 calipers (no lug nuts). I really have no place to store the engine on a pallet... its on a dolly tucked under a work table for now. My garage space it tight.
