Is a 914/6 oil tank dipstick longer than a 911 tank dipstick? Mine seems short.

Lots of threads but this is correct.

Excellent. Thanks

Where can I find a longer dipstick?
mepstein
Porsche sells them. Do you have a local dealer?

I got one of theirs but it didn’t fit right. Couldn’t screw on the cap. Broke it trying to modify it.

Yikes.

A kind member is offering me one from his stash so looks like I’m covered. Thanks again!

So the length of my dipstick is stock but does this look right to you?
EdwardBlume
The neck was turned about 30 degrees which I believe made the dipstick stick seem off. PMS said there’s a mesh and hole the tube should go through when installed right. Didn’t see anything in there. Also wonder if the neck is on there far enough.

call em back and ask what DS they use when designing their neck.. what tank do you have ?..
