PSS - UPDATE #2 - LAST DAY TO REGISTER FOR JUDGING IS TODAY!

If you just want to wash up your 914 (or other P-car) for Display only, then you can either register by today, or show up on Saturday, but spots on the grass can fill up fast, so you'd be parking on the parking lot next to the Oak Tree shaded grass area.

Anybody from here coming?

Please let us know on here.

It would be nice to have a show of 914 spirit at all of the Concours events for the 50th this &/or next year. shades.gif

1 or 2 914s are already registered, & one is in SC1 - is that anybody on here?

It's that time again SoCal Teeners!

PCA Cal Inland Region is having their Concours this coming Saturday 4/13, & there's still time to sign up for judging & display, or show up for display (they may also have walk-in judged entry too - but better for you & us to plan ahead for the latter).

If you've not entered in a judged category before, then I recco Wash & Shine, read the Concours 101 linked in the email copy below, & prep your exterior & interior. If you're experienced &/or a glutton for punishment, then enter & prep for Street, Unrestored ("Preservation" - must be 75% original paint & interior), or Special Categories Divisions.

If you have a Subie, V8, EV or other engine swap, then enter in Special Categories SC1, & if you've tracked your car in the past 12 months then you can enter SC2, & anyone with a limited production 914-8 or 916 could probably enter in SC3 for Limited Production - or just enter in the other classes.

All but the SC & Ubergang (for the newer P-cars with no engine access/visibility) have a Class for 914s - so it's possible to win either/both 914 Class &/or Division. It's a smallish show, so a good one to come out to.

So let's show the 914 spirit in this 2019 & 2020 seasons for the 914's 50th - since apparently some are celebrating this year as 50 from 1st sales in Aug/Sept 1969, & others in 2020 for the 1970 MY + 50! Go figure!!?? blink.gif

Here's the skinny & you have this week to get going! FERG.gif

Cheers! beerchug.gif

Hi Everyone,

The California Inland Region will be having their Zone 8 Concours and Car Show in the Canyons on April 13th 2019.

This is a great opportunity to clean your Porsche and show off all your hard work, or just come and hang out with fellow members and see some really nice clean cars.

So what is involved?

I know the thought of showing off your pride and joy can be daunting. Don't worry, everyone has to start somewhere.

Here is a Concours 101 Guide, which pretty much explains everything you need to know about getting your car ready and what to expect. I highly recommend taking a look. http://www.zone8.org/assets/docs/concours101.pdf

Zone 8 CONCOURS and CAR SHOW IN THE CANYONS

Date: Saturday, April 13, 2019

Location: College of the Canyons, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Santa Clarita, CA

From Interstate 5, take Exit 15 at Valencia Boulevard, then proceed eastbound to the first driveway for College of the Canyons (West Rd.) on the right, and follow the signs

Come on out with your friends and family to our annual Concours/Car Show! All cars will be displayed in a park-like setting at the College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita. In addition to those Porsches in the Judged Categories, we will also present a “People’s Choice Award” in the Display Category for the Porsche you would most likely want to have in your garage.

If you have one or more friends that have a Porsche and are not yet members, we invite them to register and display their cars in this beautiful setting. Many local visitors will be attending, so let’s get prepared to show off our Porsches!

The Concours will be conducted in a tree-lined area adjacent to the campus stadium. Car placement will begin at 8:00 am. Judging will begin at 10:30 am, with the presentation of awards at 2:00 pm. Complimentary lunch (with entry) and bottled water will be available. Additional lunches will cost $15 each.
