Can some one please advise the correct AFM part number for a 1975 1.8L 914? The engine number is 043517. I understand that it needs a 7 pin. Will any 7-pin work or do I need a particular part? Thanks!

The PN for a 75 1.8L AFM is 473906301. That engine # looks suspect are you sure it’s the original engine or even a 914 engine?

The engine number is actually EC 043 518. The 914 info page lists EC for the 1975 1.8. What looks odd to you?

The PET parts manual lists the 914 AFMs. The 74 PN is for engines up to EC0037551, and the 75 PN is for engines above EC0037552 and higher.

I don't know if the EC043xxx is correct for a 1975 model 914 or not...it may be...I just don't know.

The fact that you left the "EC" off was the odd-looking part. smile.gif

EC is also correct for 74 1.8s, though I'm guessing that 43,000+ is into the 75 model year.

Only 2455 1975 1.8L cars were made. They made more 6's. Parts are hard to find.
