Long story short, I miss having a 914. They are the car I starting racing and I want a nice 914-6 more than I want my 911.

If interested, and you have a car equal to my 911, please message me.

Thats a great looking Targa, what are the specs on it? Have you thought of a price to sell it outright?

I have an appraisal from 4 years ago @ $45k done for my insurance company. If I were to sell it outright I would list it for about $60k.

It is a Conda Green 1978 Euro 3.0l 911 imported to the US in the 80s.

I really would prefer simply trading it if the right thing comes along.

That’s a nice car and tempting. You probably want a real /6 for $60k vs a near museum steel flared conversion huh?
PeeGreen 914
Not really. Honestly, I'd trade for a 914 like my old 914. I've just learned I'm not a 911 guy. I'm a 914 guy. I know where every bolt goes on a 914. If interested, tell me what you've got.

This is one terrific car, almost too nice to drive. Right look and done right!!!

The absolutely only thing I would change is simple, replace the extra padded sunvisors.
Not knocking car at all, on the the contrary...better than mine. beerchug.gif

All of my cars are a work-in-process and staying that way.

Do I see a swap happening? idea.gif

For those that don't know, jon's orange car was bought from an estate and now lives on the east coast. There's a thread somewhere about bringing it back to life.

Thanks. Jon’s a good guy with a great car. I’m on another track but I’m 100% behind Jon and his search for another 914/6!

For those that don't already know Jon's car has been resurrected.
The complete story is in this post:

http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?sho...304365&st=0

The car is pretty much done, or should I say redone. Just need door panels and some minor pieces to complete.

I can see why he wants it back. This car is FAST !!!!! And handles as good as it looks.
Good luck Jon in your quest.

Your engine is worth some big bucks these days. I sold a core for $20K but if it's running with all the correct parts, it's gold to the earlyS guys.

Its done went to CA and a 914-6 went to WA...this thread is dead..

I have a real 914-6 with 2 liter 1969[size=7][size=3] 911 S engine. I just picked it up and it was a true barn find. It needs restored but it is rust free and straight and solid.

Getting ready to sell my 80 911SC targa in order to do the same purchase - may need to start a "trade" thread as well.
