Hello amigos,
Even though the 914 is a work of art in its self, it's nice to see everyones personal flare added to the 914 bringing it to a new levels... a one of a kind masterpiece.
I enjoyed seeing your custom gauges on my last post. (Thanks to all that sent in pictures beerchug.gif )
As for myself and others out there... It was a great seeing all your works of art. Very inspirational.

Here is something else I would like to see. I love an OE dash but Let's see your custom dashes. Mild to Wild lets see them DASHES. shades.gif

Thanks in advance. beer.gif

Here's the type of Rosewood, Walnut, etc. dash faces which were sold by the Porsche+Audi dealers back when the 914s were new, & this one is on my buddy's OO `71 914/4, which had already been optioned/accessorized by another buyer who backed out, then my buddy got the 914 new.

The dash face & the knurled aluminum sill plates etc. in these pix were all installed by the selling Porsche+Audi dealer when new, before delivery.

So this was dealer supplied flash-n-dash form back in 1971!

The pix below were a few years back in 2010 when he only had <61K miles after 39+ years of ownership then in these pix, and I'd be surprised if he had more than another 1000 or so on it now!

And still 98% original factory Bahia Red paint (a few touch-up spots only), with original upholstery & carpets inside too!

These are speedhut gauges. Very easy to configure and install.

Now that’s a low maintenance 914. I like the kitchen dash!

Jim, I love those seats! And man, these are some great looking dashes!! ..and gauges too! Also, I had no idea there even was a rare ashtray delete option - cool.

Didn't someone do an alcantara wrapped dash? That's what I thought I may do one day, possibly.

Not my 914 - a buddy's, but that was a kit made by AMCO IIRC back in the day, & it covered what you see only - not the instrument pod face. It's the same set-up as in Gandolf_25's pic, but his is a darker wood (Walnut?).

AMCO made the wood & leather wrapped gear shift knobs with the Porsche Crest or shift pattern, an aftermarket center console with gauges, etc. Look at Jeff Bowlsby's website under the Accessories section for those & more in the dealer brochures.

There was also a knurled aluminum dash face kit, to match the dead pedal & door sill protector kits - but they're not seen very often then or now.

I've seen a 911/912 5 gauge dash used in some 914s on here, so I'm surprised nobody has posted one yet. Not sure if Jim H's or Kevin's are actual 911 dashes, or just made to look like it.

Cheers!
